
Tosha Khana's criminal case hearing was adjourned till July 24

ISLAMABAD: The hearing of the Tosha Khana criminal case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has been adjourned till July 24.
The criminal case against Chairman PTI was heard in the District and Sessions Courts of Islamabad, his lawyer Barrister Gohar and the Election Commission’s lawyer Amjad Parvez appeared in the court.
Barrister Gauhar today filed a petition for exemption from the presence of Chairman PTI and requested the court to adjourn the hearing till Monday.
Vakil Election Commission requested the court that since the PTI chairman has been summoned by the Supreme Court on Monday, he should be ordered to submit an affidavit to ensure his presence and be directed to appear before the Supreme Court after the appearance.
During the hearing, Chairman PTI’s lawyer Niazullah Niazi objected to the trial on a daily basis.
During the hearing, Judge Humayun Dilawar remarked that there is nothing in the case file except the plea of immunity, you are objecting to the hearing on a daily basis, your plea of immunity is always granted while the accused has not appeared even once.
Later, the court allowed PTI Chairman’s plea of exemption from attendance and directed him to ensure attendance after appearing in the Supreme Court and adjourned the case for further hearing till July 24.
