Rain in various cities of Punjab including Lahore, low-lying areas underwater

The weather in various parts of Punjab, including the provincial capital, has become pleasant, while the low-lying areas have been flooded.

After a cloudy morning in Raja Colony, there was light wind in some places.

Islampura, Gwalmandi, Abbott Road, Hall Road, Mall Road, Davies Road, Gahi Shahu, Nishtar Colony, Gulshan Ravi, Harbanspora including Islampura, Gwalmandi, Abbott Road, Hall Road, Gahi Shahu, Nishtar Colony, Gulshan Ravi, Harbanspora became hot due to rain while flood situation occurred in low lying areas.

Gulshan Ravi area recorded the highest rainfall of 178 mm while Jail Road recorded 91.5 mm, Airport 88, Gulberg 99, Lakshmi Chowk 162 mm, and Uppermal 105 mm.

 

Mughalpura recorded 122 mm, Tajpura 156 mm, Nishtar Town 100 mm, Nakhda Chowk 89 mm, Paniwala Talab 152 mm, Johar Town 100 mm and Cordoba Chowk 149 mm.

During the rain, the electricity system in the Lesko region was also paralyzed and 160 feeders tripped.

Kali Road, Amin Park, Data Nagar, Shad Bagh, Gulshan Ravi, Sumanabad, Shahdara, Hali Road, Hamza Town, Ittihad Colony, Dennis, Satara Kal Baghbanpura, Darughawala, Mughalpura are without power while Bhatta Chowk, Choul Pul, Nizami Doge, Harpura are in second place.

According to LESCO spokesperson, LESCO Display Shahid Haider has started raining and has put all the field staff on high alert, and due to rain there will be a power cut.

On the other hand, there was heavy rain in various areas of Punjab including Kasur, Sheikh Gujranwala, Wapura, Patuki, Sahiwal Kamonki, Mianwali, Mandi Bahauddin, and Pasrur which inundated the low-lying areas.
