
The ECP will indict the PTI chief, Fawad, and Umar in the contempt of court case next month.

ISLAMABAD – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to indict Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former ministers Fawad Chaudhry and Asad Umar in the contempt of court case.
ECP Sindh member Nisar Durrani announced that the three political leaders would be indicted on July 11, and ordered to appear before the panel in personal.
Did all parties attend the hearing? Mr. Durrani asked at the start of the hearing. To which PTI’s lawyer Faisal Chaudhry replied that I have not received any such order.
Later, the ECP decided to charge the sheet against the three political leaders, rejecting PTI’s reservations regarding the case.
The Election Commission had initiated contempt of court proceedings against PTI chief Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry for making statements against the Election Commission and the Chief Election Commissioner.
