The summer break in all Punjabi schools will start on June 6 and last on August 20, according to a statement made on Wednesday by the secretary of education.
The Sindh Education Department has already planned a two-month summer break from June 1 to July 31.
The vacations had been issued in accordance with the decision made by the steering committee, according to Punjab Education Secretary Akbar Laghari.
He said that the summer vacation timetable will apply to all public and private schools and that no decision had been made to prolong the breaks.
