On Tuesday in Harare, Pakistan Shaheens and Zimbabwe Select will play their fourth unofficial One Day International.

The game will begin at 12:15.

In the third game of the six-match series, Pakistan Shaheens defeated Zimbabwe Select by five runs on DLS thanks to an unbeaten half-century from Qasim Akram and four wickets from Shahnawaz Dahani. The game was played at the Harare Sports Club in Harare. Shaheens’ victory was their first in the one-day series, which they currently trail 2-1.

Mohammad Huraira (19, 29b, 3x4s) and Saim Ayub (28, 25b, 5x4s) produced a 47-run start to the innings as they were chasing 279 to win. After both batsmen left the game in the span of five balls, the wicketkeeper-batter Haseebullah and Omair Bin Yousuf had a partnership for the third wicket that added up to 60 runs. Omair, who was taking part in his maiden one-day encounter, left the pitch in the 22nd over after making 29 off of 38 deliveries, including three fours.

The tourists were suffering as the scoreboard read 169 for six in 33.2 overs after losing three more wickets for only 62 runs, including the well-positioned Haseebullah (49, 60b, 6x4s), from 107 for three in 21.2 overs. At that moment, Qasim Akram, 20, and Mubasir Khan, 21, joined forces and put up a 67-run partnership for the seventh wicket. In the 42nd over, Mubasir’s innings came to an end. Shaheens still needed 43 runs to win from 49 balls.

At the opposite end, Qasim maintained his composure and guided the Shaheens home with two wickets remaining. Shaheens won the game by five runs on DLS in the 47th over of the innings as the light began to fail. Player of the match Qasim hit seven fours and one six his route to an undefeated 57 off 40 balls.

Tendai Chatara collected four wickets for 53 runs from 9.5 overs for Zimbabwe Select.
