During operations in several cities on Saturday, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) detained four individuals and found a significant amount of narcotics.
During a raid at Misrial Road in Rawalpindi, the ANF found 100 narcotic tablets on two suspects, both of whom were residents of Peshawar. In addition, 144 kg of hashish and 30 kg of opium were found in a car near the Wali junction in Nowshera. The suspect was detained and was a native of Peshawar.
Additionally, ANF and FC in joint operations seized 13 kg of hashish in Khyber and 2400 intoxicating pills from the bag of a suspect who has been detained and was travelling to Colombo from Karachi International Airport. These seizures came as a result of operations near the Torkham border Nadra Chowk and where 65,000 intoxicating tablets that had been kept inside plastic bags were discovered.
ANF claims that 780 grammes of cocaine were found in a package shipped to Australia during a separate search at a private courier agency at Karachi International Airport.
Additionally, the ANF discovered 15 kilogrammes of heroin concealed in bushes close to the Quetta Western Bypass and 900 grammes of ice disguised in a package during inspection at the Friendship Gate checkpoint in Chaman.
The accused suspects have been the subject of Anti-Narcotics Act cases.
