Biden under attack: Marjorie Taylor Greene releases articles of impeachment
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene made a daring move by introducing articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden, charging him with managing the border problem poorly.
A news conference was staged in the Capitol by Taylor Greene, a notorious speaker and proponent of conspiracies, to declare her desire to remove Biden from office. She conveyed her conviction that, ever since assuming office on January 20, 2021, the Biden government has been gradually destroying the nation.
The congresswoman claims that Taylor Greene’s articles of impeachment against Biden are only the beginning. She hopes that House Republicans will come up with more accusations to level at the president. Taylor Greene highlighted a number of complaints about Biden, including his inability to enforce immigration rules and protect the border, but she did not define what those claims may be. She asserted that under Biden’s leadership, millions of unauthorised immigrants from more than 170 nations flooded the country and jeopardised national security.
Another charge made against Biden by Taylor Greene is that he allegedly permitted fentanyl, a potent narcotic, to invade the country, killing hundreds of Americans every day. However, US authorities, notably Secretary of State Antony Blinken, have blamed the increase in fentanyl on the drug’s production in Mexico using Chinese components.
seekers at the border, expired, Taylor Greene decided to bring the articles of impeachment against Biden. Because of this, many migrants are now being released into the community with court dates that are set for years in the future.
This action by Taylor Greene marks the end of what she calls her “impeachment week.” She filed articles of impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, US Attorney Matthew Graves, and FBI Director Christopher Wray before focusing on Biden. She lambasted Mayorkas for how he handled border security and charged Garland with politicising the Justice Department and employing the FBI to persecute individuals who disagree with the ruling party.
Taylor Greene’s articles of impeachment are not expected to be approved by the House of Representatives. It seems unlikely that the articles will have enough support, especially from Democrats, given the profoundly split chamber and the narrow Republican majority. It is unlikely that President Biden will be impeached despite her best efforts.
