
Punjab police report that there are now 2790 PTI members detained there.

A spokesman for the Punjab Police reported on Friday that there are now 2790 PTI members held across the province.
Following the arrest of the former prime minister Imran Khan, the persons who were detained took part in violent demonstrations.
According to the spokesman, conflicts between police and PTI protesters resulted in 72 cars of the Punjab police being set on fire and around 152 police officials and staff being hurt.
He continued by saying that individuals responsible for the assault on the security men were being found and detained.
