During her audition for Deepika Padukone's part in "Happy New Year," Sonam Bajwa recalled.
MUMBAI – Actress Sonam Bajwa revealed her reminiscence of the audition process for the character performed by Deepika Padukone in the movie “Happy New Year.”
The Indian model recalled the unique audition in an interview since it was the only occasion her mother had come with her. Sonam claimed that she didn’t have a car at the time and that her mother was staying for a few days because of the persistent rain.
Sonam recalled the specifics: “They gave me that scene, ‘easy lagta hai Mohini ka dance’ [Mohini’s dance seems easy], and for the dance, they asked me to perform on ‘Chikni Chameli.'” I prepared an outfit for “Chikni Chameli,” and the clothing I was wearing were intended for my scene.
Although she was passed over for the main part in “Happy New Year,” she still thinks her audition performance of the line was impressive. She thought it was one of the film’s more enjoyable parts.
Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood, Abhishek Bachchan, and Boman Irani, “Happy New Year” was directed by Farah Khan and debuted in 2014.
