Babar Azam Equals Dhoni in Most Wins As A T20 Captain
Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan cricket team, has recently attracted attention for his exceptional achievements. He has achieved a fantastic feat by outscoring many notable cricketers, including Dhoni, and breaking their records for most runs scored.
At the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday, the Pakistan cricket team trounced New Zealand by 38 runs. Babar Azam was able to tie the world record for most victories as a T20 skipper thanks to this triumph.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a former Indian captain, no longer holds the record for the most T20 victories as a captain, since Babar Azam has surpassed him. Compared to Dhoni, who had won 41 out of 72 games, Babar Azam had won 42 out of 68.
Azam has led his team to 42 victories in 68 games, matching former England captain Eoin Morgan and former Afghanistan captain Asghar Afghan, both of whom have 42 wins to their names.
Aaron Finch, a former captain of Australia, is ranked fifth with 40 victories in 76 T20 games.
The 28-year-old Pakistan captain has the chance to surpass all other captains if he manages to win all three of the remaining T20s in the series against New Zealand.
It should be noted that on Monday, Pakistan and New Zealand will play their third Twenty20 match at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
