Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit Saudi Arabia as a regal visitor.
He will stay in Medina and Makkah for the final 10 days of Ramadan.
A large number of officials and lawmakers will also conduct Umrah.
According to reliable sources, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia has extended an invitation to PM Shehbaz Sharif and PM Nawaz Sharif of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who are seen as being closest to the royal family, to conduct Umrah in the kingdom.
The three-time former prime minister, who has been living in self-imposed isolation in London since November 2019 due to health reasons, will fly on a special aircraft to Saudi Arabia on April 11 with his daughter Maryam Nawaz and other family members.
Nawaz Sharif will visit the Saudi Arabian monarchy as a regal visitor. According to the reports, he would spend the final 10 days of the sacred month of Ramadan in Medina and Makkah.
Sharif’s journey to the kingdom has not yet received a definitive schedule, though.
It is important to note that a number of officials and lawmakers have created arrangements to conduct Umrah during this time.
