MQM-P HAS BEEN CONTACTED BY PERVAIZ ELAHI FOR A DIALOGUE: KHALID MAQBOOL
KARACHI: According to ARY News, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui stated on Saturday that Pervaiz Elahi, the president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had called his party to start a discussion.
The PTI’s Pervaiz Elahi has called the MQM-P, according to the convener of the party, who stated that the doors were always open for conversation while speaking at a ceremony in Karachi.
According to Khalid Maqbool, “We had left the previous government due to its non-seriousness.”
He said that some people were concerned about the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan coming together and said that Kamran Tessori will continue to serve as governor of Sindh “as long as wanted.”
He remarked, “We don’t want to adopt the blackmailing style,” and he questioned if the MQM-P could afford to choose Mustafa Kamal as governor. He referred to Mustafa Kamal as the “voice of Karachi” and remarked, “Mustafa Kamal has very important responsibilities.”
Khalid Maqbool also raised worry about the 2023 digital census and demanded that people be counted in “transparency.”
He further stated that this city “never tolerates the language of power nor rigging,” and that “no one can snatch the mandate of this city with force.”
In an interview with a group of journalists earlier in the day, PTI Chairman Imran Khan disputed that President Arif Alvi was mediating between the establishment and his party.
According to the former prime minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Pervaiz Elahi of the PTI have been given the responsibility of reestablishing communication with other political parties.
