Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo offer fans an inside look at "Wicked"

Ariana Grande took to social media to give followers a behind-the-scenes glimpse at her forthcoming movie Wicked with Cynthia Erivo. Ariana and Cynthia play the leading roles in John M. Chu’s widely anticipated adaptation of the Wicked Broadway musical. The Harriet actress, 36, and the Positions singer, 29, collaborated on a photo on Instagram on Sunday that showed some adorable behind-the-scenes shots from the Wicked sets.

As she uploaded a carousel of images, Ariana, who was most recently seen in Netflix’s Don’t Look Up, simply wrote the phrase, “Up to (no) good.” Ariana and Cynthia are shown in the first black-and-white photo holding hands, the singer of “7 Rings” is wearing a polka-dot dress, and the Luther actor is sporting plaid. In another picture, the pair could be seen conversing in a car’s trunk. The last two images show Cynthia holding Ariana’s arm, while another shows the singer of Die For You sporting an all-pink ensemble, complete with boots. Ariana will portray Glinda in the musical Wicked, while Cynthia will play Elphaba. Bowen Yang, Keala Settle, Marissa Bode, Brownwyn James, Michelle Yeoh, Ethan Slater, and Jonathan Bailey are also included in the cast. The theatrical releases of Wicked: Parts One and Two are planned for Christmas Day in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
