Rana Sanaullah claims Imran Khan is causing unrest and mayhem nationwide.
ISLAMABAD: According to Rana Sanaullah, minister of interior, Parliament is tasked with advising the government on a variety of issues and will now need to step in to prevent attempts to instigate an administrative crisis in the nation.
Without identifying anybody, the federal minister stated during a speech on a resolution about law and order at the National Assembly on Wednesday that “one guy [Imran Khan] is attempting to cause law and order difficulties together with his gang.
Attempts are being made, according to him, to instigate political and administrative issues in the nation, and the parliament should fight to thwart these efforts while providing guidance for resolving the economic crisis.
The security czar said that, in accordance with the Constitution that was created by the aforementioned parliament, the parliament is the highest institution and that other institutions have their own purviews, mandates, and powers.
He claimed that one institution—the parliament—could rewrite the Constitution and alter the degree to which other institutions are able to exercise their jurisdiction.
According to the interior minister, parliament should consider the whole situation and give instructions to all institutions regarding their fundamental responsibilities.
Although there isn’t currently a political or administrative crisis, efforts are being made to create one that should be stopped, he stressed.
The interior minister said that Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had been causing disorder and instability in the nation for the last 10 years.
The 126-day sit-in, vulgar language used in speeches, disregard for the legislature, lengthy marches, and protests from 2013 to 2018 were all intended to bring about instability in the nation, he said.
Moreover, he said that elections were manipulated in order to put Khan in power in 2018.
Sanaullah said that Imran Khan attempted to marginalise the opposition and turned down Shehbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto-requests Zardari’s for collaboration to help the nation overcome obstacles.
